Art Deco Collection​

Design is not really on the top of the list of Israeli museums. The Holon design museum is more a city gallery than a museum. It specializes in contemporary design exhibitions and collects Israeli design. However there no knowledge of the size of the collection and it was never presented.

The Tel Aviv museum has no collection to speak of and design exhibition-since Ronnie left the museum- are a rarity and again are contemporary design.

The Israel museum has a considerable collection of some 10,000 items but devote little space to its collection shows which are very eclectic in nature.

Consequently design enthusiasts have to fend for themselves. To the best of our knowledge they collect art nouveau, art deco and Israeliana. There is of course the major glass collection belonging to Muli Litvak.

A couple of years ago we have decided to expand our collection to design.We chose Art Deco. One can say we follow the same policy as in the 70th collection: an underappreciated art form that we love.
